COVID-19 UPDATE - Rustic Furniture Outlet


My name is Stephanie and I am one fo the people sitting behind Rustic Furniture Outlet.

I know I have been laying low and I did not send out an email about COVID-19. It's just that I have been watching the world we once knew rapidly change into one which is now filled with so many unknowns. Emotionally it has gone from "what is the fuss all about" to horror and uncertainty. I am honestly in shock as states and countries are going on total lockdown to contain this virus.

I am scared just like everyone else and do not know where the next few months will take us to, but this event will in some ways change the world as we know/knew it.

I truly worry about all the small & medium-sized businesses who may not be able to weather this "hurricane". I worry about all the consequences to our economy, jobs, the health care system and global supply chains keeping the "big wheel" turning. I fear no one has an answer which may be just a scary as the Virus itself.

I did have some clients this morning who booked an appointment to purchase some new furniture - and from the bottom of my heart, I thank them for supporting a local business. So, before heading out, I grabbed my 4L jug of 70% alcohol which has become part of my daily routine to give a good wipe down of all door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, iPad screens anything else touched by hands.

As you know warehouse visits have always been by done by appointment but I have now purposely spread them at 1-hour time slots to allow for any traffic or issues which would prevent my clients from being on time. I want to ensure you can walk freely and safely in the 13000sqft warehouse without any worries. Take no offense but sadly no more handshakes and I will not be hanging out too close to you.

Payments are done safely on the iPad where the client handles their own credit card to make their purchase.

Deliveries and shipping is still possible - but drivers will only bring your new order curbside to the closest point of your home. From that point onwards, please have help to bring inside. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I will make all my best efforts to ship within a maximum of 48 hours until transport companies shut down?

Should you want to pick up your online purchase at the warehouse, that is not a problem. I will get it prepared for you - ready for pick up and you do not even have to come into contact with anyone - Pretty cool right?

I want to ensure you that I am taking every possible precaution to keep customers, and the community as safe as possible. As always, I am continuing to closely follow the advice of the Provincial and Federal Governments and the Public Health Agency of Canada, to safeguard ourselves and those around us.

I will keep you updated on any further changes as things continue to evolve.
